Through our planned programmes, MUBIL Education and Empowerment Foundation aims to support girls in school and young women preparing for university, careers and greater independence.

The MUBIL Story

A Promise That Became a Purpose

The inspiration behind MUBIL Education and Empowerment Foundation began with an experience that left a lasting mark on our Founder, Kafayat Animashaun.

    While studying at university in Maiduguri, she lived near a family whose eldest daughter, Hauwa, was just ten years old and not attending school. Kafayat offered to support the child's education, but learned that the girl was expected to be married within a month.

  2. 02

    Hauwa's experience was deeply distressing. It brought home the reality that many girls are denied opportunities to learn, grow and shape their own futures.

  3. 03

    That experience inspired Kafayat to commit herself to supporting girls whose potential might otherwise go unrealised. It led to the establishment of MUBIL Education and Empowerment Foundation, which carries out school outreaches, mentorship and educational support.

    MUBIL Education and Empowerment Foundation continues that commitment with a clear structure and a broader pathway to help girls and young women prepare for the future.
